Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager – Investment Management / Asset Management / Financial Services – London.

A Chase Zander client – a leading and highly respected blue-chip, medium-sized Asset / Investment Management company is currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead an unusually broad range of infrastructure projects over the full project life-cycle.

Initial scheduled projects to include Charles River front-office application upgrade, disaster recovery, office moves, IT security, process improvement / change management and handover from software development to operations. Opportunities for career growth, external training and career progression into larger projects are very good following successful delivery.

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE:

* a minimum of 4 years experience of managing infrastructure projects

* prince 2 full accreditation and ITIL Foundation or ideally Expert accreditation alongside ITIL environment experience

* a good Asset / Investment Management or Investment banking or Financial Services background ideally (consider exceptional candidates from outside who fulfil all other criteria listed). Blue chip company / career history and background and solid career progression essential

* comfortable rolling sleeves up to scope and gather requirements themselves on smaller projects and experienced in writing robust business cases for projects including ROI / cost-saving

* must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to stand up to senior business users and say ‘no’ when appropriate

*degree level educated and big-picture thinker not just a do-er. Consider without a degree but must have strong intellectual and thinking skills

This is a newly created position as currently our client doesn’t have a Project Management Office Manager / PMO Manager, therefore this is an excellent opportunity for someone to come in and set up the PMO function and be responsible for standards and processes, ensuring that these are followed within IT.
