Environmental Policy

We recognise that activities in our offices have the potential to impact on the environment and impacts could arise from the consumption of energy, generation of waste, travel, and in the course of administration and interactions with clients and candidates.

Compliance with environmental policy
The criteria set out in this policy statement are complied with the agreement of employees based at our offices in the London Borough of Greenwich.  

Scope
The environmental policy of Chase Zander Ltd applies to the impact on the environment from our offices.

Elements of policy

  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and codes of conduct, relevant to the operations of search and selection consultancies and recruitment agencies in the United Kingdom;
  • Increase awareness among employees, suppliers and clients on environment issues, including measures to minimise adverse impacts from waste and travel;
  • Reduce waste generation through recycling office supplies and equipment, switching off equipment and lights at the end of the working day;
  • Ensure minimal emissions of carbon from travel through switching-off heating during warmer months, reducing the frequency with which office supplies are ordered, using public transport to meetings, implementation of a bicycle purchase programme for staff and employing locally-based staff in our office.
  • Commitment to conduct annual reviews and, as appropriate, update our environmental policy to ensure it remains consistent with the services provided by Chase Zander Ltd.

Actions taken by Chase Zander Ltd to minimise any adverse impact on the environment and promote efficient use of energy and management of waste, include recycling stationery, plastics and cans; minimising carbon emissions through use of public transport for travel to client meetings, establishing a bicycle purchase scheme for staff and employing locally-based staff. In addition, fair traded and recycled products are purchased, as appropriate.

There is a high level of commitment among Directors and members of the management team of Chase Zander Ltd towards improving the environmental performance of our business and to taking timely and appropriate action to increase awareness and knowledge about environmental issues among Directors, employees, clients and candidates. We will continue to pursue actions that will improve the energy efficiency of our offices, including using green modes of transport, using electricity from renewable sources and seeking accreditation to a recognised environmental standard.
